Please note that where prices are quoted they are only a rough guide. We accept no liability for their accurracy (but obviously we've tried our best to get them right!).

Dartmoor

Bunkhouses and B+B's

The Powder Mills Bunkhouse is quite handy for most places on the Moor. About 20 minutes in a car from Bonehill, 20 minutes from Combeshead... nice fireplace etc. An outdoor pursuits company run the bunkhouse, which could be convenient!

The Hound Tor Camping Barn SX749795 (aka Old HouseCamping Barn) is particularly convenient for Hound Tor (!!), located a pleasant 10 minute walk away. This can be found by continuing down the lane after passing the car park on the left. You can drive to most crags in the Haytor Area within 5-10 mins. Tel. 01647 221202. Roughly £4/night

The Moors most famous pub, The Plume of Feathers SX 591735, has a good value bunkhouse. 01822 890240.

The recommended Fox Tor Cafe also has a bunkhouse. The cafe does a good breakfast, cheesey chips and range of other foods well suited to rock athletes.

Lower Aish, Poundsgate 01364 631229 is reasonably priced and close to the pub!

Hazelcott Bed and Breakfast. Near Manaton Rocks (Hound Tor, Bonehill, Lustleigh, Haytor etc), Dartmoor. "4 Red Diamond and charge £30 for singles, per night and £50 for doubles. All prices include breakfast".

Secret Valley Dartmoor Nice looking holiday appartments located just south of Dartmoor (just off the A38, not far from Ashburton). Reasonably pricey during peak season (like everything!) they become much cheaper off-peak and can cater for up to 12 people. Also do B+B when the appartments aren't rented out.

Camping

Cockingford Campsite near Widecombe is well located and with more than ample facilities. Recommended. 01364 621258

Once again the Plume Of Feathers SX 591735 comes out as good value. Perfect for the pub and food 01822 890240

...and of course you can wild camp but do so out of sight of the road, don't leave a mess etc. and avoid staying in one place for long.

South Devon

Landscove Campsite, Staverton is well situated for most South Devon (and Dartmoor) crags. It is a small site and close to the hippy capital of the Westcountry, Totnes! 01803 76225

North Devon and North Cornwall

Manor Activity Centre

Lundy

The accommodation on Lundy is all top quality and ranges from camping to posh houses. Further details on Lundy.

Cornwall

Inland Cornwall

Cheesewring Farm Campsite

West Cornwall

Whitesands Lodge, Sennen. Very conveniently located a 20 minute walk (or sub 1 minute drive) from the crag at Sennen and only a short drive from other West Penwith crags. Camping, bunks or rooms (inc. ensuite!), restaurant.

On the South Coast there is a well located site at Treen - from here you can walk to a number of crags (the coast from St.Loy to Chair Ladder is all within a 45 minute walk), some superb beaches (Porthcurno, Green Bay, Pednvounder...), some good "schnorkelling" venues, and of course the pub!

Cornwall is full to the brim with campsites so you shouldn't have trouble finding one - if you have any tips to include here please send them in.
